Our story

How Valley Solar Pros
came together.

Founded by Vincent Romero in 2018 after two decades in California solar, the company was built around a frustration with how most solar gets sold and installed in the Central Valley.

Before Valley Solar Pros, Vincent spent years watching national solar companies sell homeowners on PPA contracts with 25-year escalators, dealer fees buried in financing, and customer service operations based three time zones away. The math rarely worked in homeowners' favor over the long term, and warranty claims often took weeks to resolve.

The premise of Valley Solar Pros is simple: be the company we wish our customers had access to. Run real numbers. Recommend ownership structures over PPAs when they pencil out better. Use proven Tier 1 hardware. Show up when something needs attention years later.

Over the last several years, the team has expanded to cover Fresno, Visalia, Stockton, and Sacramento with local crews in each market. We currently operate at about 10 employees and intentionally stay small enough that the owner is involved in every project that crosses $50,000.

What we believe

The principles
behind every install.

Three things we won't compromise on, regardless of how the sales pressure or industry trends might push otherwise.

1

Ownership beats PPA

For the vast majority of Central Valley homeowners, owning the solar system (whether via cash, Propel Financing, or traditional loan) produces meaningfully better economics than a Power Purchase Agreement over 25 years. We'll recommend the structure that pencils out best for your situation, not the one that pays us the most.

2

Hardware quality matters

The difference between Tier 1 panels and bargain-basement modules shows up around year 10 to 15. We standardize on Qcells panels and Enphase microinverters because both perform well in Valley heat and have the strongest warranty backing in the industry.

3

We're here in 15 years

If something goes wrong with a system we installed in 2026, we want to still be the company you call in 2041. That means small enough to know every customer, big enough to handle warranty claims and inverter replacements decades down the line.

Where we work

Four markets,
local crews each.

We're headquartered in Fresno with permanent operations in Visalia, Stockton, and Sacramento. Each market has its own local crew, not a traveling team from somewhere else. The result: faster response times, better knowledge of local utility quirks, and crews that actually live in the communities they serve.
